The game is generating a lot of interest I see. Even Tigermad can't be bothered.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

With the 6N and the Saxons playing it makes it difficult to be taken seriously.
Will go as we get to have a tour and meet a player.
The event should enter the "Development" calendar to be played on a Monday evening.

Sadly, I am trying to piece together a time in my mind that might win this.

It's a rubbish competition, but it's Bath. It's Welford Road. They should never be allowed to win there.

So first on the teamsheet must be Hamilton.

I feel really guilty but I'm not sure I can be bothered to turn up. Friday evening, have to drive as there is no train back, England on the box, a second team for us in a match which matters not one jot.

oh dear.

Its Tigers v Barf - I have to be there !!

Plus Cockers has said it will be a stronger team than the one I watched get tanked down in Exeter, so we might even have a game on our hands !!!

Come on Tigers - you might even qualify with a bonus point win !!!! :smt003

Well said Bill
If winning isn't everything, why do they bother keeping score?

According to Cockers on the Rugby hour last night Amorosino will play so doubt if we will see Hamilton.

He did talk about putting out a strong side to give some momentum going into the next four premiership games and mentioned Woods, Waldrom and Mafi being involved togther with Slater and Green. He also talked about "our strongest available front row". So, not so many academy guys this time methinks.

Ha, you can imagine the meeting that decided the new format:

A "Oh damn, we've totally forgotten to look at the new LV=Cup."

B "It's 4:58 on Friday - who cares? Erm...well let's just have the teams in four pools as before, except you don't play anyone in that group. Job done."

A "Hang about, won't that mean that you could win all of your games and still not qualify if the other three teams in your pool do the same but score more points than you? Plus then you've also got a pool where four teams haven't won a single game. Who goes through there?"

B "It's 4:59. Pub?"

A "Ooo, pork scratchings..."

I think you have overestimated the amount of thought that went into it, bwightman.

leaving aside the nonsencsical idea, that is the LV cup, why is it being played on a friday night?

IF England were playing on Saturday I could just about see the logic in the thought, BUT as England are playing Wales on Friday night, live on TV it's barking mad!!

I will be there but I have a feeling it will be me 3 other blokes and a dog if we are lucky - I do not hold out much of a hope for much of an atmosphere - I feel a bit sorry for the players especially the young ones who are going to be a bit cheated out of the traditional atmosphere that can only be generated by a Tigersv bath game at welford road
