Hipkiss to Barf?'

Post by Nik »

Been having a load of Barf supporters approach me at work and inform me that they have signed Hipkiss?? anyone else heard this - they acknowledge that he is a good player - the supporters that is - but have stated that they believe we are sending all of our 'sicknotes' to Barf - rather harsh but true apart from Sam V.

Dan is a good player but he's still got his 'crowbar' mentality - keeping hold of the ball and not passing it out - there's no 'i' in team Dan.....

Anyone else heard the rumour?

Likely make Cockers and Dan happy!

Seems like Falcons are now our unofficial `nursery`, whilst Barf are the retirement home!

some will leave for sure. With Kieron Brooks, Micky Young and Matthew Tait all coming (seemingly!) and with improved contracts (particularly Castro) then the salary cap will only go so far!

We have already lost Richard Blaze and Harry's wage will be in the budget for this year.

Why this odd obsessive insistence that Cockers doesn't like Hippo?

Do we get some lee way during a world cup season to have a bigger squad, seem to recall we did last time. Then there was a bit of a clear out afterwards,to keep inside the cap.

I believe it to be true. From information received and conversations held.

Would be delighted to be proved wrong.

He's had injuries and as I recall has been doing some navvy work on his house. Not going to do all that work to then commute to Bath just yet.
What will the band do?

Great player but would we miss him..AA. MT. MS. AT. all able to play centre and he does seem way down pecking order (know hes been injured) as he was at end of last season.
Bath know good schooling of players obviously and hes best mates with The Vest and Mad Dog!

Salary cap permitting, I think we should keep him until the end of his contract at least for 4 reasons:

1. Cover during World Cup as I assume he is far down the pecking order and won't be going
2. His knack of scoring crucial tries in key games
3. To p**s Bath / Sarries off
4. Let's us see how any new signings fit in and if they don't we may want to offer a new contract
