He would have looked so pretty in pink! I was learning "Fratelli d'Italia" just for him! We need a tighthead/loosehead for Attoub next citing or Roncero retirement!

What great news! Is the text service just for season pass holders?
There will be a very happy 7 year old girl in our house now Castro is staying!
(Her dads pretty pleased as well)

CASTRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Best news I've woken up to in a long time! He's a Tiger, we love him and he's here to stay. I'm now glad I wore my Castro beard to the Sale game!

I said somewhere (looked but cannot find) on the forum recently that Castro's performance in a match looked like that of a player who was heading out the door.
I also said I would be more than happy to be wrong. Not for the first time......I am more than happy!!! Top Player, Top Bloke!!
From our website:
Castrogiovanni, who has agreed to remain at the club despite interest from elsewhere, said: "A player has to think about of lot of things when he is trying to decide on the future, and money is not everything.
Though I wouldn't have blamed him for seeking more money and future security elsewhere, that alone says it all about Castro for me!!
And thanks to Tigers for the text last night......nice touch!

Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

We shouldn't beatify the man but any player who says this is a special player imo :
brings a tear to the eye..."The supporters have been brilliant," he said.
"The support they have shown me has been unbelievable. I saw some of them recently with their Castro masks and beards at the games and it makes me very happy.
"I am extremely happy that we have now come to an agreement with the club.
"I am really proud to be part of this club. I want to give 100 per cent for the shirt because it is a Leicester Tigers shirt."

Re: Castro signs new contract! (merged threads)
I got the text last night while at a golf simulator centre in London with my dad and my brother. My brother was just teeing off as I opened the text and let out an unholy roar of epic proportions. He thought I was celebrating a great drive....
Absolutely one of the best texts I have ever received, and the club's got this one absolutely right. This is a contract renewal that show's the club's commitment to its fans and to a particular style of rugby. Castro is a wonderful talismanic player, and keeping him at the club displays the loyalty for which we're known - on his part, on the part of the club, and on the part of the fans. This is a renewal that will hopefully enable the team to continue to compete at the highest level but just as importantly could well boost ticket sales. Good good business.
Castro renewing AND our getting a quarter final at the Aviva makes me a very very very happy Tiger!!

Ask not what your Tigers can do for you, but what you can do for your Tigers

Is anyone else slightly worried that this might mean Coley is off? His last couple of performances have been massive...
Re: Castro signs new contract! (merged threads)
If you read the club's statement it says how with Castro Cole and Jules we have the luxury of playing tight heads at their peak and minimizing injury.
I think the ability to play " tag team" props is amazing. Hunting in packs was always a great technique :)
