Stewards take note.

Post by yellow_balaclava_hunter »

Firstly I am not claiming that this affected todays result however it may not have helped but when home or away supporters boo kickers it is the job of the stewards to identify them and remove them from the ground.
Excuse me. Where do I get a yellow balaclava from?
I asked Gavin Henson if they sold them at Matalan but he said they didn't because they messed his hair up.

I thought the stewards were there for safety reasons, not as the pantomime booing police. Unwritten rule, Gentleman's agreement, Sporting conduct, Respect, call it what you will, but, the last time I checked, silence is not a given and booing kickers was not against any law.

Whilst it's nice, for some, to have silence for the kickers, they should be professional enough to kick whatever the crowd are up to. Don't think any blame can be levelled at the stewards for that one.

It always has been as far as I'm aware.

In previous years I have often reported people to the stewards for booing kickers and seen them removed from the ground.

Personally I think life is far too short for that.

I found that the 'shushers' made far more noise than those being 'shushed' today, not for the first time.

Booing kickers is not something that should be tolerated in Rugby.

Silence for kickers is part of the spirit of the game and should be observed by all.

Those who cannot respect the opposition kicker should be removed from the ground as they are not welcome.

Not when someone is about to take a kick at Welford Road, please!

Obviously some people do not realise the importance of mainting the culture of respect that we have in Rugby.

It is something that makes the atmosphere at a Rugby ground significantly more enjoyable than in other sports where the culture of respect has diminished.
