Leicester To Reach 100 Not Out
Leicester becomes the first English club to play 100 games in the Heineken Cup when they travel to Perpignan this weekend. What an achievement and what a club.

Not really. It begs the questions as why other clubs reached this landmark before us and why none of them were English.
Still keeping the faith!

Because for the likes of Munster and Leinster, they are pretty much certain of a spot. Also, when they are in it, they do not have a league as high intensity of the AP, so can afford to rest more players for the H cup, unlike us who have to fight harder on two fronts.Bill W (2) wrote:Not really. The French came into the tournament earlier than the English.
Excuse me. Where do I get a yellow balaclava from?
I asked Gavin Henson if they sold them at Matalan but he said they didn't because they messed his hair up.

Yep. English clubs didn't appear in the inaugural year, 1995-96, or in 1998-99. Toulouse, Leinster and Munster, the other clubs with over 100 appearances, have appeared in every Heineken Cup.Richard wrote:and also english clubs havent appeared in every season of the competition

And the Welsh. Don't forget the Welsh. They too play in the mickey mouse league and have been in Europe from the start.Hot_Charlie wrote:Yep. How come none of them have managed 100 games? Ah I know - it was not until 2003 that they scrapped the clubs and went regional.
