Kev - as I am in effect a club representative on the forum, I have to be exceedingly careful about what is written.

Re: South Africa duo fail drugs tests. (allegedly).
I would have thought quoting a report that is already out in the public domain is unlikely to damage either the forum or the Club's good name. The report does state categorically that the players have failed a drugs test and have been sent home. Albeit stage one of a drugs test and there is a chance they may not fail the second stageRizzo wrote:Kev - as I am in effect a club representative on the forum, I have to be exceedingly careful about what is written.
Perhaps if as a club representative such caution is required as to what is written on the forum it might be better to leave such contentious issues to others to post?
Sponsorship deals may come and go but the CRUMBIE stand will always remain.

Kev and SJT
Please get off Rizzo's back.
The BBC allege that two SA players have failed drugs tests and been sent home.
We are indebted to Rizzo for bringing this to our attention.
Unless you have seen the lab reports and witnessed the two players boarding aircraft.

On that basis I think all members of the forum should be made aware that if they decide to include a link in their post and have not personally witnessed the event the event should be treated with an abundance of caution. The post should also include the appropriate health warning "Allegedly" in the subject heading.Bill W (2) wrote:

You might think that and you are entitled to that opinion.SaltyJackTar wrote:

To satisfy those complaining about my post above, I have edited the title. You may have noticed there was a smiley emoticon alongside my "explanation" as the use of the word "allegedly" - thus the post was made tongue in cheek.
In future I will refrain from posting such news items.

I hope to see you observing such caution and sounding the appropriate health warnings with your future posts in which you choose to include links ......................... unless, of course, they come with copper bottomed guarantees and you have witnessed the event(s) first hand!!
Like you, I keep the faith, but on this one think I may be disappointed.
Ah well.

I would hate to see you stop posting such news items.
Please note that I used a similar emoticon in the latter part of my earlier post which was also made tongue in cheek.

You may recall that all my posts under Bill W carried such a disclaimer. Should she request it I would be happy to reinstate it for Bill W(2)SaltyJackTar wrote: Thank you for you humility.

You are to be congratulated in driving Rizzo from posting any future news items but I am delighted that you have appealed to her to continue.

I trust this is not the start of a cyber bullying campaign against a relatively new kid on the block?Bill W (2) wrote:You are to be congratulated in driving Rizzo from posting any future news items but I am delighted that you have appealed to her to continue.
