Brutally HONEST imo.tb1 wrote:Plus first choice front row, second row, back row, inside centre, and back 3.kingol22 wrote:3 months into the season and the team is still failing to click without our first choice half backs.
Plus second choice front row minus Hawkins, second row, back row minus the poor pienaar, half backs, centres and back 3.
One thing I will say is that some of the Ospreys players were not much older, if at all, than ours. They are a bit more experienced though.Darc Tiger wrote:Stepping back a bit, if you take Hawkins, Spice, Hipkiss and Robinson out of it, and call Gulliver no more than Championship level cover, and look at the number of first team appearances of the rest of the side, and compare it to the Ospreys side, there is a definite miss match. Even Ospreys experienced players are generally more experienced than ours, and their bench was very formidable.
Given the conditions and the fact the Tigers pack was not there, I thought overall Ford had the better game that Morgan. OK Ford did miss a couple of tackles, one against Morgan where he got turned inside out but he did have a good game and got stuck in against the like of Holah, and Gough etc. Spice kept it together. The backs had no ball yet the Tigers had 50% possession. 8 man rugby don't cut it and that was obviously the game plan if the first 30 minutes were anything to go by and the Tigers were 27 point down by then.Bill W (2) wrote:Actually tonight our half backs were OK.kingol22 wrote:the team is still failing to click without our first choice half backs.

Like I say, if we are talking in terms of appearances at this level, the Ospreys are ahead by a big margin.tb1 wrote:One thing I will say is that some of the Ospreys players were not much older, if at all, than ours. The average age of the pack was 20 years, so they said in commentary? Jones Meff and Mitchell have more caps each than that. It was always going to be a loss but by what amount? In the end lots! They played the conditions - Tigers didn't know how to. Experience at that level means a lot!tb1 wrote:One thing I will say is that some of the Ospreys players were not much older, if at all, than ours. I dont believe that, there wasnt a player in the forwards less than 19 and Gulliver is quite old, Pienaar and Hawkins not young anymore either.TigerCam wrote: The average age of the pack was 20 years!
Correct IMHO. Or indeed next. Or ever.drc_007 wrote:It was an opportunity for some players to put their hand up, a number didn't.
They may not get another opportunity this season.
