Saracens lack of fans
According to our website on the fixtures page, yesterday's attendance at Vicarage Road was 7500. In their biggest game of the season that is a poor showing when they reckon all the fans that went to Wembley last season are Sarries supporters

It's because Vicarage Rd is a dump. The drums are the most annoying thing since the crazy frog ring tone and the silly Tommy Cooper impression they do every time they go for a place kick.
Oh and I don't find the fans are particularly pleasant.... very roundyball

All good 7's play on the edge if not they are a waste of space!!

Anywhere else and you get the silence for the kickers!
The banter in the dug out and the shed is great fun but going to SArries was really not enjoyable (even though we won) for me. My girlfriend a Glos supporter was baracked with "bumpkin" and "EEEOOOORRR EEEEOOORRR" during the whole match.

Perhaps the fans are following the example of Mr. Venter.jgriffin wrote:I haven't noticed other places being so nice - Glaws, Chiefs and Sale don't go quiet either.
Saffacens are going out of their way however it seems, joining Glaws as the 'no-so-nice' category.
Had some of them been banned?

I have long suspected that the "London" double headers are watched by people who only watch the Prem/ HC final and so on. 2 games for a tenner is not a bad deal for the occasional supporter. The Wembley game was similarly priced and widely advertised. How many "supporters" were given Sarries promotional material on the way in so it looked like there were a lot on the TV? I went to Watford for the 00 - 05 seasons and it looks as though their numbers are dropping. The older fans who knew Sarries of old seem to have drifted off unhappy with what their club has become (and worse, aspires to be)ellis9 wrote:According to our website on the fixtures page, yesterday's attendance at Vicarage Road was 7500. Here we go again!Tiger_Chief wrote:Anywhere else and you get the silence for the kickers!
When are people going to realise it is not compulsory to remain quiet whilst someone is kicking? OK, it's the house rule at Welford Road and a few other grounds but it is not a blanket ruling.
When in Rome ...
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Where's the reason behind shouting in Afrikaans in Rome?
