Saracens v Leicester

Post by tigermad »

:smt035 :smt035

Leicester travel to Watford to take on Saracens this weekend after an eight try demolition of Leeds last weekend. Leicester should get the win as the youngsters drafted in have more than held their own in the last two games and should do the same again.

Saffers will put up sterner opposition than Leeds did at Welford Road for certain, but if our set piece performs like it did against Leeds , and 36 is all over Hougaard like a rash we might just take our first away win.

Saracens defence looks pretty good and Hougaard can kick penalties and drop goals from anywhere in the opposition half, so Tigers need to be careful.

Doesn't everybody's under the rucking interpretations ? Defences are frightened to smash them to the ground cos it just releases another phase of attack.

Did look useful though agreed.

like to see us get at least a bonus point,
Along with Saints, Wasps and Bath I had this one down for a defeat. So 3 of the 4 out of the way cant be a bad thing.

If Tigers can keep their disipline and not give penalties away they stand a very good chance of the win, if they dont Hougaard will kick Sarries to a win.

I think we were the only side to win at their place last year,it won't be easy, but with this side we can do it.Hope they are concentrating and not got one eye on the Scarlets.

If I am not mistaken, we have won there the last two times and having done some homework, it is eight years since there was more than 7 points between the teams and of the last 8 games between the teams at VR, they have won 4, we have won 3 with one draw.

So everything says a close game - probably too close to call.

Will any of our internationals be rested for this game? Saints rested players at the weekend?

Won't be as easy as Leeds, that goes without saying, but Sarries aren't as strong as last year I don't think. Hopefully come away with 4 points.

5 points

We will score 5 tries and convert 3 of them.

They will kick 5 penalties and score a drop goal!!!

Watford South Africans will be no push-over and I agree, it will be close.
The deciding factor for me is whether Shalke Brits is playing.
He is their best player by a country mile and arguably the best hooker in the
world. As mobile and pacey as most backs.
I was pleased that 36 got a run out at 10 last weekend and behind an attacking scrum,
Also, that Cockers is not praising him up too much.
Certainly he will be our difference on the day.
It is very rare for a 10 to come up into the top flight with a complete game.
However, they seem to be doing right by him and he will only benefit from the
experience. If he can get it together, as his potential suggests he may, the axis
of BY and 36 is an awesome prospect for the future.

IMO Britz is phenominal in the loose, but the bread and butter for a hooker is the scrummaging and line out work, and in that regard he's a long way from the best in the world.

Watch him nail every throw this weekend now... :smt013
