Tee Hee - yes, the MLS probably deserve him.

George Ford was one of the standouts from last nights devt team game. A lot of footballing nous and very calm under pressure.
But is he too skinny and inexperienced to cope?

Time will tell, worth a punt if things are as dire as we think... the acadamy is a great place to bring youngsters through, most will have palyed in front of a bigger crowd at WR than most other clubs have so shouldn't be overawed by the crowd.

For me he would definitely be a defensive concern and the opposition, if they were smart, would definitely target the 10/12 channel so if it were to become an option, then a stand-out performance from 7 would be essential.

I would still opt for 12T.

Oh poo. Our shallowest position and Floody may be out first game. :(
REALLY bad news, I would risk 36, I don't believe Staunton gives us enough go forward, at least 36 would attack

Ford is a little chunkier this term, so he may get beefier still over the next couple of years - his brother has.

In any event, if we HAD to play him and were defending, we could change tactics and move him out (to the wing maybe) and bring in a stronger tackler - other teams do this.

Could be hidden in the back row ala Lamb as well.

after last night couldn't see 36 as a replacement 10 too selfish and not enough vision yet, and you wouldn't put him in the centre.lets get behind Staunton after all he kept us going for the start of last season.
This will not be terminal but could stunt our Early Season, but 36 must play 10 on Saturday to see how he goes.

The Tigers 'early season was stunted on Sunday!!

He got a knee injury, and will be having a scan (as is usual for an injury of any sort). The diagnosis of up to 6-9 months and the suggestion that he is definitely out for the AIs is entirely stuff from the journalists' head.

He might be right - he might be wrong, but he's basically guessing. He knows as much as we do, and is filling column inches.

What's all this sensible stuff? Have you learnt nothing from your 700-plus posts? We demand grief and woe and misery and a reason to criticise Cockers for being too conservative and not giving 12T more game time than there are games. Basically we want the moon on a stick. A very droopy miserable stick. Pointing out that Tobes may not actually be busted that badly and perhaps we might wait on the results isn't going to get those blood pressures up, now is it? :smt018

A reason? When did we need a reason? Or even an excuse?
