Re: New Away Shirt

Marketing wise I don't think it'd make too much difference; as we see nowadays, the half the footy clubs release their shirts before the previous season's finished. From a customers point of view, I'd have liked to have had the opportunity to have a short sleeved example over the summer.

Then again, if supply's been a problem (which was something I suspected when I saw the Sale shirt arrival date), then I suppose the club's done the best they can (but still could have got the premiership website to leave the old one on until release!) :smt002

Actualy it has been a masterful marketing ploy. Turning the faiure to obtain quantities of the merchandise adequately early into a demand situation whereby the world and his wife will be seeking to buy them tomorrow - when in fact, if released earlier few would have been interested!!!
Nobody will be seeking to buy them Bill. They are just revealing the new grey (ooppss sorry am I not supposed to say that?) kit tomorrow. The replicas for the fans won't be available for at least a month. They only had 2 years to coordinate this ... clearly not long enough.

Sounds unlikely that replicas will be available to fans before the Saints game (in September not January 2011) so doesn't help with my choice of outfit for the day. Looks like it will still have to be the thong and a smile. :smt045

Well that was worth the wait... :smt012

Mind you, it would be a bit daft to have a really nice shirt design when everything else in the shop is a pile of poo...

I can't say it appeals to me. The blue was OK. Why change?
To fleece the fans of course.I won't be buying it.
