Re: Manu to be deported?
The Solicitor General MP Edward Garnier has offered to help in the case which has now been transferred to the Midlands division UK border agency.
The feeling is should Manu be unsuccesfull France will be his option with Henry"s club Perpignan being the favourites.
Lets hope he IS succesfull.

Re: Manu to be deported?
We have reason to hope. The home office are taking his situation back into consideration. I dont know much about how the system works, but he could be granted his permit, asked to attend an interview (which should be a breeze for Manu), or deported (which Manu can then appeal). Will S wrote:Thanks. The only thing is, some might see it as unfair to grant Manu a permit after he has flouted the rules, and shouldnt be let in just because he meets the requirements.
It could go either way. Hopefully for us they will let his mistakes as a child with his visa go, and see that he has potential to be a real contributor to England.

1. He has to attend an interview.Darc Tiger wrote:Thanks. Are we hopeful?
2. The interview has to be in Samoa.
3. His previous visa infingements will not be held against him.

Met Manu out a couple of days ago and he was in good spirits and said that things were progressing.

Why in g*d's teeth is he still in England.Tigerbeat wrote:Met Manu out a couple of days ago and he was in good spirits and said that things were progressing.
Go back to Samoa. Lodge the application there and it will be little more than a formality.

Re: Manu to be deported?
If Manu does go back to Samoa for the interview would he have to wait another 3 years to qualify for England? I can see Manu bursting onto the international scene very early and it would be a massive shame if this wasn't possible.

But his previous visa infringements will be held against him. You said so yourself, so it must be true.
