Leicester Tigers - Guinness Premiership Champions 2009-2010

Leicester were made to work all the way by Saracens but prevailed in a cracking encounter at HQ today. I am so proud of this club and the fans and so much more. Tigermad is a seriously happy Tiger tonight. I need that drink or two.

What a game...brilliant stuff. Heartbreaking to see Moody breaking down as he ran onto the pitch at the end.

Congrats to Sarries too (minus Ventner), they were excellent...only not quite excellent enough.

I will miss Moody as he sums up the pure ethos of this incredible club and he will be missed next season without a doubt. Can Leicester do the treble of GP titles next season? After today, anything is possible.

Congratulations Tigers. You played your hearts out today, and deserved to win. Also congrats to Sarries, you made it one hell of a final.

Thanks to Moody, Key, Murphy, Vesty and Deacs for all their hard work and effort over the years, good luck for the future.

tbh, wasnt really rooting for either team, but certainly dont begrudge you the win.

have a lovely well earned evenings celebration, and enjoy your off season.

but rest assured that saints will be coming after that title next year

What an advert for the Guinness Premiership ! Superb Tigers, just had enough at the end, although it was edge of the seat stuff for a while there ! I pick out Chuter (thumping tackle near the end) and Jordan Crane (off-loading !) - outstanding performances all-round. Tigers will be there again next season for sure....but will Sarries ? They will miss Jackson, who played his heart out, as did every Sarries player, credit to them, they play the game in the right way. But for Tigers - well done, excellent !!! :smt026 :smt026

great game if rather nerve wracking as a Tigers fan.

Credit to Sarries for their performance, they showed plenty of determination.

For me Parling stealing the lineout at the end to seal the win summed things up nicely - he has been a vital part of the team all season and when it needed someone to stand up and be counted he stuck his hand up.

It won't quite be the same next season seeing Moody in the Blue and White of Bath, but have confidence that we'll be in contention again next season.

What a game from both sides, But the class came through in the end, I must admit you guys had us on the edge of our seats, can you please try & make it a little easier on the heart next time.

Each & everyone of the players on that pitch played a vital part in that game today & deserve all the credit for it I would like to add my thanks to all the players, staff & coaches who got us there this season for all their efforts as well.

Lewis what a final act on your part a "Tiger" through & through today (How you gonna top that) thank you & good luck.

What a cracking game - can't remember how many times the lead changed hands. Fantastic spirit to come back and win it the end with Danny Hipkiss showing great strength. Hard to chose just one standout player, but I thought Capt Murph was excellent, with Hamilton and Youngs also very good. The pack really turned it on in the second half, and Geoff Parling's steal at the end was just the business.
I am very proud to be a Tigers fan. :smt041
