Saw you when you first burst on the scene with Gustard, many thanks for your unstinting service to the club. What a hero. Good luck for the future

Top man.
Always gave his all on the pitch and in training.
Will continue to follow his play regardless of who he plays for.

Loved seeing his son in Tigers shirt with Mini Moody on the back - chip of the old block. Great player, fine example - sorely missed but always welcome back. Good luck Lewis
Hambo :- He was with England when he was injured, but he was a Tigers player, our player. He is still our player.”

Excellent player, one of the nicest blokes in rugby i've had the pleasure of meeting and another one of the mini spike's role models. Damn shame he's leaving but hopefully as is the case at our club he'll be back in some role at some time.

My example when I played in the back row and since still my favourite player after I moved to hooker.
I think he marshaled Bath well in defence.

A warrior whose commitment ethos often meant his body got broken, Moodos played every single game as if his life depended on it.

The pride he exuded in his Tigers, England and Lions shirts radiated from him like a fire to all in the stadium. The heartfelt dignity of this man giving his all, targeted with no mean skill was, at times, genuinely emotive.

This commitment ethic, dispatched with pride and dignity is what epitomizes Leicester Tigers in my opinion: Not just "Winning" or silky skill, silverware or money.

More a primal fear of letting down the team; a visceral desire to win and advance the ball. A deep pride in being a well oiled and effective part of a devastating machine.

Yet this man is no automaton: no "robocop". This World Cup winning, Prem winning, HC winning , EVERYTHING winning star could barely be a nicer man. A proud family man who takes huge delight in uplifting rugby kids who get to meet him. And shakes the hands of all comers with the delight of meeting an old friend. My son, a strapping 13 year old flanker-in-the-making actually wept in his room when he heard Moody was leaving...and he never EVER does that.

So this man is an angel ? Without fault ? A perfect man ? Perfect Player ?

No

He is, and will remain the definitive Leicester Tiger.

Lewis it has been my humbling privilege to watch you play for many years; to cheer you on, to be inspired by your commitment ethic and pride in your shirt. It has also been my nadir to chew my nails as these same commitment meant you limped off injured too many times...

An exemplary player, a funny and interesting fellow and a hero to many, Moodos: the mad spacker I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being an inspirational part of my life for the past decade and a half.

And know that you will always be in the pantheon of great, great Leicester Tigers.

Now KILL SARRIES in the final , you hear ? !

I'll see what Tigerbeat or I can do about getting these messages to him.

And don't forget, you can always write or email the club directly - address your letter/email for the attention of X player and it's pretty certain to get to them sooner or later.

I echo all the sentiments on here.

He has had a massive impact at Leicester over the years.

Best of luck with England in Aus, he deserves to be captain for the tour, and at Bath.

Shame he is leaving but he must have his reasons.

Best wishes and good luck.

Crucial charge-down in the SA pool game that Greenwood went on to score from that was so critical to England topping the group and avoiding NZ in the KO stages. Leicester legend that is Lewis Moody.
