Geordie's a real talisman for us PLUS our playmaker IMO. No "rationalizable" loss like Moody or Vest.

His picture is all over season ticket renewal booklet, they wouldn't have used it unless very sure of resigning him!!

Everything we have heard thus far is just that there are some i's to dot and t's to cross.

Although there must be a fair few its in the contracts given how long it is taking. Could just be that he has signed and they are holding out for a slow news day? Seem to remember Austin Healey of all people doing that once.
