Sounds to me like a very old rumour recirculating.

Give it a few weeks and they will run the S. Jones coming to WR story.
Still keeping the faith!

translation of the piece from L'Equipe is as follows:-

"After a champion of England, Benjamin Kayser had decided to settle down back in France and continue his career in the French stage. Hooker International had signed to play three seasons with the Parisian club. However, the club have decided to leave the free player at the end of his first season. Benjamin Kayser is in close contact with his former club Leicester and a return to England would be very feasible.

Kayser was tenured eleven times in 24 days Top 14 and even had to lend a hand in the third line."

Other than noting that it is from a normally reliable publication, I have no idea how accurate the report is. However, it has to be said that this is a high quality player who very much enjoyed his time at Leicester. His return would be most welcome.

first choice, Ben Kayser
second choice, Rob Hawkins
third choice + experiance, George Chuter
fourth choice, Joe Duffey
fifth choice and another year at Nottingham, Tom Youngs

I don't see a problem with that.

Seems to me that we are getting people in that dont cost on the wage " no disrespect ment to these people " to keep us with a large squad , when we loose them to england , :smt022 . I hope that cockers can influence these new hookers to achieve the standards that he did when he was playing :smt023 . The players who have now been here for a few years getting the knowledge now need to step up and shout , imho. Ben would take a fair chunk of the wage cap wouldnt he ?? where as hawkins not so .

If we can afford it, I would love to have Kayser back. A real top quality player.

Will be harsh on the other Hookers. It might even spell the end for Chutes.

If this is true I wonder if Chutes is on his way at the end of the season then. Duffey has signed a new contract so we know he is staying and Hawkins has a two year deal but does anyone know the deal with Chutes? Given his current form and lack of first team action both sides may see it as a good time to part ways, espiecially if Chutes wants a chance at going to the RWC.

There was a rumour going around the Cat stand last week at the Bath game that Chuter is off to Gloucester. Only a rumour though.

Isn't Chuter contracted until the end of next season?
