Thanks for the memories Vesty!
As seen today Staunton has signed on till 2013 I fear we will not see The Vest paly agin at WR. May I offer my thanks for all the great memories of your time here.
I also may be saying bye to Kay, 12trees, ellis?? and a few others.
The revolving door started with Lote, then Brett, Lewis, Mefin, et al....to all thanks for the pride you put into the Tigers Shirt!

They may be under contract but if they ain't getting a game, they may be off!! Ellis spoke about wanting to play and was fit, cockers reckons he isn't!!kingol22 wrote:12trees and ellis are in contract so wont be leaving.

If a club offered to buy out Ellis's contract likely Tigers would bite their arm off.WiggoTiger wrote:They may be under contract but if they ain't getting a game, they may be off!! Still keeping the faith!
Re: Thanks for the memories Vesty!
ellis has said he is going to serve out his contract so i would expect him to be around next year and also what club will make an offer on a player that hasnt played all season.

Its plain to see that Harry's not happy... I dont want to see him go personally (wonder why ha ha) but I would rather he went somewhere else then stayed here doing nothing or stayed somewhere he was unhappy if he had the option to resurrect his career somewhere else.
And he hasnt played for a large chunk of the season as he cant get a game for... reasons out of his control?!

Lote signed a short term contract. Played it out, moved back home. Can't considered in any "everyone is leaving us" thoughts.WiggoTiger wrote:The revolving door started with Lote, then Brett, Lewis, Mefin
Brett, quite frankly, has only ever been a squad player. So...
Lewis is a loss, but post thirty and either injured or playing for England.
Mefin is in his late 30's.
Thanks for all the hard work etc, but no reason to panic just yet. Also, a revoving door would indicate quick turnaround. Brett ad Lewis are lifers and Mefin has been here for a few years now!!!

Found this thread on line, which is actually speculating about Stephen Jones joining us. It says TIgers announced yesterday that they were releasing Sam Vesty.
I know we are all expecting this news, but did I miss something, as I have seen no official announcement?

There was no "official announcement" and Simon Cohen is quoted in the press today saying the Stephen Jones rumour is complete and utter rubbish.

Farewell to all of the Leicester Tigers' playing staff, eventually they'll all be out of contract and move on, maybe even play for another team, but I want to mourn their passing in advance....
We're all doomed
