I had just about resigned myself to the fact Lewis might leave and enjoy a nice big (well-earned) pay packet in sunny France.

But Bath? Bath?! Talk about hard to stomach!

I am absolutely gutted.

That was certainly unexpected as I thought Lewis was going to go to a club in France and get some serious Euros before he calls it a day but Bath. Discuss.

If this is about a new challenge,then Bath is a fine city to live in with a well supported club.I just hope there's not something else going on,yes he has had a lot of injuries,but he's put his body on the line for us.

That is a big loss for Leicester and a hard player to replace but why Bath, unless there in a pot of gold hidden somewhere at the Rec. Bath fans will smiling from ear to ear with such a signing.

Is this just a case of offloading the higher paid players who like Moody and Mauger are injured or playing internationals more than they are playing for us ... or is something more sinister going on?

Lewis was on good money at Tigers so how much are Bath paying him and how are they managing to do so?

Moody has been a great servant for Leicester Tigers but he has either been injured, banned or away with England for many weeks during the season.

Whilst disappointing to see him go, the salary can be used to bring in other players and strengthen the squad.
