Flair is good for bums on seats, look at Ben Youngs, he has great flair ,every body wants him to play. Flair gets the money in to pay all wages. Mr Cockerel do you want flair?.
Re: Northampton v Leicester
Who do you support then g 'cos it certainly isn't Tigers. You're obviously a glass half full merchant. Try looking on the bright side for a change in particular our fixtures to come which are a lot easier then others.
Give blood, play rugby!!
Re: Northampton v Leicester
we both went into that match relitivley evenly, wht JM had to say about are call ups were true, yes not as many as you tiggers, but ours had been thoughly messed around by jonno (ashton has a higher travel expence claim then half of the commons).
The match was one of the best GP of the season, both teams attacked and defended well, a certain touchperson did little in the way of his job but compared to a certain horticultural named ref nigle did a resonable job.
all in all, as much as it pains me to say, tigers are at the top but the saints are closing =) if we just fall short of the final, please make sure wycombe bee's don't snatch it =)

Re: Northampton v Leicester
I see no reason why the GP game against Stains could not have been played on Sunday and we could have had at least one international playing again. To have Toby Flood sitting on the bench for 80 minutes like a spare was sacrilidge for both England and Tigers.
I have just watched the highlights of the Stains game , at the end of the programme they showed a Saints player upending a Tiger , Identical to the incident which resulted in our sin binning. I did not see the incident during the televised match and it was difficult to get the players numbers (9 for tigers maybe) Obviously the Ref was not looking that way at the time , obviously neither was the touchline judge

AP, this upending, was it a spear or a straitforward tackle, people seem to be over zealouse on the differnce these days, the tackle on smyler was downright dangerouse, as was the late takle on him and digger, this is without the continues infringments at the rucks from el tiggers, i dont think anyone can argue that you were lucky to of only been beaten by 16 points and one card.

Wardy
I will start looking on the bright side when our coach starts picking players who deserve to be picked.
Tuilagi instead of Murphy? Do you honestly believe that Tuilagi is playing better than Murphy? Tuilagi is not worthy of his place he cannot catch a ball and all he does is just go into contact time and time again.
Also Matt Smith v Vesty or 12trees? What has Matt Smith done to earn a place? I know he and Vesty have had long term injuries but to bring Smith straight back into the team out of position ahead of a player who when he has played has played well and is deserving of a place is ludicrous.I would have played both Vesty and 12trees against Saints for Staunton and Smith. As we would have had Vesty, Youngs and 12trees who are all capable of kicking penalties and conversions when needed.
One last thing I do support Tigers but when a coach selects his favourite players, has no game plan, and we go into a game against a fierce local rival and just capitulate like Tigers playing without any ambition and going into a game hoping to get a LBP like Tigers did then I will vent my feelings.
Cockerill is like Johnson. Neither will pick players on form but only those who are the coaches favourite.

Re: Northampton v Leicester
I have a question for the folks who are really dissatisfied with Tigers play ;
Name me a GP side who is consistently turning out better performances and results than we are.
Fact is if such existed they would be top of the prem by a country mile.
I do not argue that many performances this year have been frustrating, but ALL fans boards relay the same sentiment. Almost all GP teams , restrained by the salary cap, international call-ups, injuries in this increasingly injurious game, the terrible winter weather and commensurate lack of consolidated playing time of a single coherent team are playing under what their fans would most desire. Yes I am disappointed with our European cup endeavours this year but remember only TWO English sides made the cut from the pools this year.
At Tigers we have higher expectations than ALL of them, but our whinges must STILL be placed in this context.
Unless we build a magnificent second XV of SH players who we will not lose to international duty miraculously within our salary cap I do not see how we will ever meet the expectations of some of our fans.
I would like to see certain A-teamers given more game time too, but runs of games with consistent teams seem to be things of the past.

Westwinds - how do you know Jamie agrees with g?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Saints, they have won more games than us, have a game in hand and are in 3 competitions.
I am just frustrated with the Tigers Away form.

Re: Northampton v Leicester
Shocking performance, I think we would still be struggling to score a Try if we were still playing now.
The Backline are very funny at present, we tried the same move various times it didn't work on any occasion & the players are utterly bemused that it doesn't............................try a different move!!

To win is not as important as playing with style!

I will not change the record. I will continue with this diatribe as you call it if I see fit, I will give my opinion on the coach and the team as I see fit. It's a free country. If you don't like it then you know what you can do.If you wish to pay to go and see the sort of rubbish that Tigers served up yesterday then thats entirely your choice. Just like it's my choice and right to comment on the sort of rubbish Tigers served up yesterday.
Oh and BTW there are people who agree with me.
