England win 17 13
Re: england A vs ireland A
Ben Youngs did his England chances no harm at all
Set up the first try and was generally very good
Also noticed (after comments on here to the contary) that Youngs was passing without taking a step...Could this be the ENgland coaches doing something right with a player

very good all round game by Ben Youngs with Jonno watching went off at about the hour mark and wouldn't be surprised to see him on Englands bench next week. Parling got a run towards the end and looked effective
Re: england A vs ireland A
Good to win the game but other than Youngs, Cato and Dowson don't think anyone else threatens to step up to the senior squad based on that performance today. Geraghty in particular is starting to look more of a revolving door than Hodgson and his out of hand kicking was generally woeful.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.
Re: england A vs ireland A
Geraghty needs to keep the ball in hand more rather than sending needless kicks to nowhere but there is no getting away from he is a special talent. Just think of the Saints back linr next season, Foden, Ashton, Twelvetrees,Geraghty,Youngs, Clark ect. Formidable.

Can't believe what I have been reading to be honest.
Most reports (times, R365 etc.) seem to suggest that Geherty played well for the saxons and guided them to victory on Sunday but I definitely did NOT think he had a good game at all. His aimless kicking was woeful, tackling was poor and his distribution was at best ok.
The stand-out players for me were Dowson, Youngs and Cato.

Spot on. Thought Goode, Strettle and Waldouck were disappointing as well.bluntiger wrote:Can't believe what I have been reading to be honest.

Still keeping the faith!

Reading some of the articles they seemed so similar I wonder if they were simply editing copy provided by the RFU?

It's pretty simple really, the journo's have found the next Charlie Hodgson/Danny Cipriani/Stuart Barnes.
Not a bad player in the League? Check.
Makes the odd flashy play? Check.
Completely unequipped to play the game at international level? Check.
He'll spend the next 6-7 years being brought up when the better but not as flashy current number 10 fails to win a game scoring a hat-trick by himself.
