...all you cynics who thought Lucas was vulnerable under the high ball! Shame on you! :smt002

From the audio sounds like he had a great game.

Excellent under the high ball, a try saving tackle and threatening on the attack.

Well played lad! :smt023

lucas had a good game today made some good tackles and was solid under the high ball. he may play next week but with geordan coming back amorisino will find it near impossible to get into a back three when it will consist of geordan hamilton and lotte.

Yep, he had a good game and looked good under the high ball. He certainly help set up the first try when he offlaoded to Mauger in the tackle.

I'm delighted for Lucas. Absolutely delighted.

But he can play as well as he likes. And the people who did for Varndell will still be lurking in the background, sharpening their hatchets and waiting for Lucas to spill the odd ball so that they can all rush in for the kill, using this forum as their hunting ground.

He WAS poor under high ball. Last night he was great. We can ask no more of a player to address his faults and play even better for us.

I am now a Luke fan ! :smt023

As i've said in a previous post, the boy has moved halfway around the world, made the step from amateur to pro, and all without actually being with the club for pre-season. He should never have received the stick he did in the first place!

I think he'll get better and better a la Marcos!
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

Ay, the boy looks potentially something very special. Couple of moments of pure class, and solid play elsewhere. Alex T had a good run out too, really got the legs pumping. And Aaron Mauger really upped his game ... oh, hang on, no he was absolute garbage, again. Who is that donkey kidding about getting his Blacks shirt back - he'll have a job getting a club game.
