What did Tigers have today that no other club has?

Post by silverfish »

A playable pitch. Superb effort by the club (and Oadby Wygs, and the city council, and everyone else who helped) to get the game on - I think they deserve a lot of congratulations, especially considering the result.

Fantastic effort from all involved! :smt038 :smt038 :smt038

Also means every other club would have been watching our game with interest. And I think we may have them worried!

A special thanks to Charles Rayner, the groundstaff (Steve and his team) and all the volunteers who ensured that this afternoons game took place.

Also, the Council for assisting gritting the roads and footpaths around Welford Road.

A good win to cap it off - thank you very much for your time and efforts.

For me the whole of today just summed up what Leicester Tigers is about:

1. groundstaff and others doing everyhting to make sure the pitch is playable
2. so many supporters making it to the game
3. the team putting in a good performance and coming away with a bonus point

Tiger's had team-spirit across the whole team.

And Cockers said it - "You can't buy spirit like that"

I think that the result was a 'thank you' from the club to fans, volunteers and the club staff. :smt001
