is there a ground inspection at ten o'clock in the morning
Re: inspection
News from a source at the club says that Roman Poite (Ref from France) is due to arrive in Leicester this evening.
An inspection is scheduled to take place at 10am.
At the moment the pitch is frost free and playable. However, if a heavy snow shower were to come down before the game, it may cause the game to be called off.
The terrace and all the surrounding areas are to be cleared and gritted. A big effort is being made to get the match on. I just hope that all the effort that Steve and his teams and volunteers have put in, is not in vain.

Re: Inspection
The fact that we look like the club to be able to host a game tomorrow is something that makes me fel very proud to be a Tigers supporter. I know that we were helped out by being lent a cover, and that teams like Newcastle have had worse weather than us, but I really am very impressed with the determination, grit (no pun intended), and organisation of everyone involved with trying to make sure tomorrow's game goes ahead.

The pitch looks like it has survived any snow that came down during the night so on that front it still looks good.

Re: Inspection
Trouble is it is not just the pitch, its the stands, terraces and surrounding pavements etc. Has anyone got any idea what is like around the ground?

Re: Inspection
More chuffin snow coming down here now I used to like the snow but now its getting annoying.
Re: Inspection
Where is the link to the webcams by the way?
Re: Inspection
Ooops, silly me, Tigerbeat had it on an earlier post. Thanks. Looking at them it does not too bad - no snow even on the covers unless the date on pictures is misleading.Tigerbeat wrote:Webcam:

Re: Inspection
Latest from Charles Rayner:
After the initial snow flurry at 6am this morning there has been no more snow and we now have 100 volunteers sweeping and gritting the terraces etc. The councils gritters have been round several times gritting the roads and footpaths so remarkably we are still looking good for our game.
Fantastic effort by everyone, shows what Tigers is all about!!
Even the suns shining now.

to Charles Raynor
I am sure that I comment for every single tigers fan when I say a very very big thank you for all of your efforts. Not only in protecting the pitch and shifting the snow, but keeping us all informed re the status of the efforts being made. It is apprciated.
I am sure that you will pass on our thanks to everyone involved from every single member/fan as we all realise that it is a team involved.
ps Just lets hope that the wasp management and team dont find or make up any reason not to play.
