Dusty's gone!

Post by TTRITH »

Just popped up on Sky Sports news on the rugby tab.

I'm shocked, I can't understand why he's left, and even more so, why he's gone to Northampton.

Nothing been said on the website either!

I am not surprised.

Last conversation I had with him suggested a move was likely.

Did he give any clues as to why he might leave Bill?

What is it with Tigers and fall outs? :smt017 Who is the troublemaker at tigers?

Watch him start poaching our players now. :smt018

Not another Legend conveniently pushed aside? He's done a great job for a long time and was still doing so. I am interested to see who will replace him and how quickly they do so.

I think the analysis that he was "pushed aside" is false.

More, I think, for personal and professional reasons he chose to walk away.

I would be suprised if he were replaced in the short term.

I hope Tigers have sent him on his way with his word that he won't poach our players.

Why "sent him on his way"?

And if his presence at Franklins Gardens encourages some younger players (or older ones for that matter) when their contracts are up for renewal to look in that direction - so what!

Why does everyone assume Tigers forced him away? Let's face it, Dusty isn't getting any younger, perhaps he was offered a better deal by the saints? Would make sense, given that we've just built the new stand and can't exactly afford to pay anyone much more these days (or so i'd assume!)

I made no such assumption. Indeed I suggested strongly that it was false.

Wasn't referring to you, Bill. More some of the other posts. Also, people on here normally seem to assume the worst before considering any other options...
