Very well deserved, especially when you consider that a significant amount of his contribution to the game was during the amateur era.
Congratulations Sir Geech!

Also in the list are members of Status Quo, gardening assistants, and school dinner ladies. It's nice to see a range of "important" people being honoured.
Mind you, I'm not there again. Can't understand it.

And on the 7th day, god rested, he stood patiently and awaited the green light to start the game from SKY!

Surely you don't get any more rugby related than Sir Geech himself, awesome rugby brain and a nice guy, even if he did coach some pest like teams

A more deserving man would be hard to find.
The unbeliveable bit is that they still managed to give an award to a banker (at least, I think that's how you spell it)

Trouble with any award is if you give it too soon folk critise(what have they done?etc),but you can leave it too late. The old Geechs deserved every plaudit going.
The one in the last five or so years has been tarnished by association with cheating and yes I would have said this if he'd been doing it at Tigers .
Well done on past glories with the Lions is how it sits with me.

"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Cue US Naval Academy:
Stand Navy down the field, sails set to the sky.
We'll never change our course, so Army you steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll up the score, Navy, Anchors Aweigh.
Sail Navy down the field and sink the Army, sink the Army Grey.
It was anchors you said wasn't it?

I have decided to forgive him coaching wasps and selecting Vickery for the first test of the Lions tour and instead remember him for his previous sterling work for Scotland and and the Lions - Just hope Jim Telfor follows next year:)

Whilst we are all absolutely delighted that you celebrated New Year on the seafront and hope that you had a truly wonderful time, is this Rugby related and have anything to do with Sir Ian's enoblement?Rizzo wrote: Incorrect, at 3am on the day concerned I was trying to thaw out after several hours on the seafront seeing in the New Year. and as you can see, the post is still here....
