Alesana sat in the Cat stand to watch the academy game against the Army, watching his younger brother Manu.

He is apparantly 2 stone overweight!!!!!

Glad you've raised the subject of Manu, has been charging around causing mayhem in the development team, don't care about the fact that he's only 17, but he's handful and makes big inroads, now he just needs to pass the ball towards his colleagues better.

He absolutely marmalised the Army No 4 as he did the same to the Munster winger, BUT these were both legal tackles and bringing him on would certainly emphaise the use of the "impact player".

Have a lovely thought of Tom Varndell charging down the wing and Manu waiting..............................................or even better Manu flat out and only Tom to beat!
And on the 7th day, god rested, he stood patiently and awaited the green light to start the game from SKY!

I heard Alex was about 4 stone overweight, hence the not fit to play yet comment from Cockers.

I would guess the club aren't very happy about the weight issue, if true. Maybe they've used some of his wages to fund Lote (reverse Lottery funding?).

Anyway can't we re-train him as a prop until he slims down?

Alex was in the 1880 club on Saturday before the game and he looked ok - nowhere near 2 or 4 stone overweight! Would expect him back sooner rather than later. Spoke with Toby and he's still targeting for the EDF game against Dragons as his start back date - obvioulsy all depending on how things go over the next couple of weeks

Sounds like Alex is in a bit of hot water with Cockers!

In other worlds Alex, you better play well when you get your chance to impress!

I have a real issue with this. the guy is a professional sportsman and yet he comes back to the club that pays him handsomely unfit and over weight. i hope the club have fined him heavily and he won't appear in the 1st team until his weight and fitness are where they should be.
It must be a problem with the Tuilagi clan i remember when Henry broke his hand, which should not stop you from maintaining fitness, coming back over weight and not being able to last 40 minutes.
i know the family are Tigers legends, but if some other squad members had returned in this shape their heads would be being called for
