I think that the option to choose to record a prog on the red button is new. I don't remember seeing it previously.

I think it must be, i thought like you BJ but it must be some new gissmo or something. We had a new sky+ card sent last month maybe something to do with that? Who knows but good news if you can.

B.J.
recording was manual as the game started (set by my good lady - vast improvement on her previous attempts to record the Tigers when i got 2 hours of golf and wrestling). Must admit i thought that the box might record the main chanel game rather than optional choice but all went ok.

They have (this season) given you the ability to pre-set your sky+ to record the "red button" game. What they cannot do with the games that are set up this way is series link them so you need to make sure you select which games you want to record in advance!

The games where only one game at a time is being shown can still be series linked, but if you have the red-button option now you have to manually pre-select which one you want to record.

I think this is a big thumbs up for Sky as it was frustrating last season not to be able to pre-set red button games (especially as someone who is part South African and normally got the red button option for the Currie Cup!)
If winning isn't everything, why do they bother keeping score?

Don't forget that kick off is 14:30hrs LOCAL time, so 13:30hrs UK time.

Well if you want to miss the first half then go ahead & tune in from 2.30pm.

If on the other hand you would prefer to watch the first half as well then I would suggest you rely on the other (more accurate) sources of information such as ERC's own website, which lists the fixture as 14:30hrs LOCAL time

http://www.ercrugby.com/eng/31_58.php?i ... 10&round=2

or even the Viadana ticket details advertised on this very website:

http://www.leicestertigers.com/news/13856.php (As it is aimed at people attending the game in person I would assume that the 2.30pm kickoff time referred to is the local one, not the UK equivalent).

the Sky site has the broadcast time as 2:30 as well though - and that should surely be aimed at UK residents?

My head hurts will this talk of time zones and possibilties of broadcast and red button recordings!!

Dear Wernher,

Do you perchance have a rocket inserted somewhere painful on your person, or are you always this grumpy when people express confusion when presented with (debatably) conflicting information from official sources?

Kind Regards,

Moose

P.S. Have included jar of Savlon to deal with rocket related issues.
