Mystery of a missing supporter!!

Post by Nik »

I saw a thread a few weeks ago when one of you were asking where certain posters had gone, well I'm back off and on, however I have news of Simon Redshaw - saw him on Saturday at the Quinns v Tigers match in a HairyQueens supporters shirt...... so it seems he's off to pastures new!!

I trust you gave him my regards Nik.

Sequins is nearer for him than WR.

See you and Ray on Saturday? ABC Bar before match?

Nik, you're back. And me and hubby will be going to WR for the first time in about 3 years when we play the Ospreys. We will be with our usual crowd so hopefully see you. We will be in the new stand so will be interested to see what it's like.

Hope you are all fine and dandy.

I may be wrong, but thought that Simon lived in Kent?

In hindsight, his possible change of allegiance isn't surprising. Makes me wonder how often people, for whatever reason, switch support from one team to another.

I'm dumbfounded. I didn't think anyone changed their team ever.

Truly shocked.

i met redshaw a few times a few seasons ago, he used to do mad rail journeys to WR season in season out, surely public transport would drive you to insanity sooner or later so maybe that's why the switch? quite a few people from here have local grounds that aren't WR that they visit season in season out

Yes, well I've been to watch teams other than Tigers.

But I couldn't pull on another team's bl**dy shirt!

It would be like throwing holy water at a vampire. My skin would burn and peal off.

Now he's gone, I wonder who will take over the mantle of Arch Beer Scrounger. On more than one occasion, it was my pleasure (?) to witness Simon latch on to a group of Tigers supporters in a bar, be prefectly happy to accept a drink when someone offered to buy a round and then mysteriously drift away when it was his turn to put his hand in his pocket. I personally fell for this twice, once in Limerick before the HC game in 2007 and once in Bedford before the friendly the season after.
You can always buy me a beer BJ.

I now live in Scotland ,though born and bred in Leicester, where I also played my rugby.I go to rugby matches and always wear my Tigers shirt.Guess that's the difference, not adopted a club,it's my home side,so will never change.
Was watching Perthshire playing last weekend and spotted a "stains"shirt wearer, which is rare up here as the Scots do not support anything vaguely English.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.
