The Leicester Tigers v Newcastle game is on Sky Sports 1 next Saturday at 5-30pm.

For Freeview viewers, it is also being shown on Sky 3.

Would love to there in person but sadly can't. Sky Sports 1 HD is probably the next best thing!

Cheers for that Tigerbeat. We bombed Sky out a while ago and didn't realise that some games are shown on Freeview via Sky 3

We will be at the game next week, but fingers crossed some of the away games will be shown in a similar way.

I doubt it, Red Cap. It's only being shown on Sky 3 (Freeview) as part of a special promotion by Sky where they're showing a few hours of Sky Movies, Sky Sports etc. to try to attract new subscribers. On the basis I haven't ever seen this happen before, I'd not expect to see it again for quite some time... sadly.

According to the Sky website the London Irish match (which in any case is on Sunday 25 Oct not the previous day) isn't being shown.

...and i bet every single one of those games clashes with when liverpool are on telly too. sky/ espn are taking the piddle out of me, they should have an espn interactive service, espn-i, cause then it's an anagram of :censored:, cause that's what it is :toimonster:

jeremy staunton is a wasps secret agent sent to destroy us.

Thanks for the correction. In future I'll regard the Sky as a rough guide only!

on tv - from the clubs point of vioew- is not great if you are trying to fill 24,000 seats!

also I find it odd that you pay some staggering amount of money for a sky sports package only to find they put rugby on freeview - It' s nice to know a now pay my subscribtion just to have overpaid footballers on sports channels that i don't ever watch - much more of that i shall be able to save myself some money and canel sky sports.

Is it just me being slow, or is BJ's link above the only way of finding the announcement on this site?

No doubt like many others who post on here I saw it on the latest tigerzine email. I wanted a link to send to a friend who I'm going to the game with but when trying to find the article by going into the news section I can't see any sign of it. :smt017
