Putting a charity team together...

Post by TigrisLeicesteris »

This idea came around from another post asking what positions people had played.

I thought seeing as we obviously have an abundance of players and 'talent', I thought about the Idea of getting a Tiger's Forum team together, to possibly play, either contact 15's or 7's (bodies and minds willing) or touch/tag .

This could be coupled together to raise money for a charity, first one coming to mind being Matt of course

Any ideas about this? Or indeed any willing participants?

Trouble is, Tigris, if you are in Glastonbury, I am in Hampshire and other forum members are distant from Leics, where would you propose as a venue?

I'm game, but it will need to be like the "All-Priests Five-a-Side Over-75's Indoor Challenge Football Match" from Father Ted if I'm to make much impact.

Well I was thinking Longshanks, needs to be a neutral venue for us all, or somewhere that is not going to be a fair old jaunt for everyone, I myself have family in the Midlands, so I'm not opposed to travelling up there

I'll need a decent hoooker to throw to me in the lineout, a couple of weight lifting props and a pair of Ben Kay's orange gloves. :smt025

I can cover 11 to 14 but I make no promises about my ability (I can technically cover 10 and 15 as well but that really is at your own risk).

If the neutral venue is London I'd be happy to get involved!
Maybe twickenham would be a good venue, then they could open only the top tier, I'm sure we'd only look good from a distance!!!

I'm in at either 15, 6 or 3. For safet reasons I was thinking either 15 or 6.

Really starting to come together, I'll get on the job of finding a venue, then see if I can blag some kits
