Heineken Cup -the group of death

Post by cotch »

i believe that pool 5 is "the pool of death"

Pool 5
Toulouse (Fra)
Cardiff Blues (Wal)
Sale (Eng)
Harlequins (Eng)

i feel that next years pools don't have any out and out favourites to win there pool and there could be more up set teams that don't make the knock out section. so there for making all pools. "THE POOL OF DEATH" (yes even tigers pool)

Its a very tough group but im really happy with it. If we want to get to the final then we will have to beat the better teams at some point anyway, and we do have Viadana which SHOULD hopefully guarantee 10 points in those 2 games and hopefully put 2 teams through to the quarters from this group. But we have an away trip to Viadana where ive never been before and an away trip to Clermont too, so i think we should all be happy, dig out our passports and keep that faith :smt023

Spot on, I guess once the dates are announced I shall have to organise another get together in the mex, anyone up for it again ?

Landlord has bought into the idea of entertaining travelling fans, and for our pre-season against Glaws has booked a live band for after the game and he will probably be providing some food, all I need to do this time, is find a local morris dancing club to make you lot feel at home !

I still think the other sides will be more worried about us. Ospreys and Clermont are great teams with some excellent players but our best XV is awesome and I think we will aim to top the group and leave it to the French and the Welsh to fight it out for second place.

Particularly looking forward to the Clermont games - they could be something special.

Sorry but I'm Tigers and I'm about up to speed with MC Hammer so can't blame the poor Wasps men.

Having had a quick skim through the munster forum they seem to beleive that our group along with pool 5 are the groups of death. Interesting considering I thought that pool 5 would have grabbed that tag hands down. Doubting us are they?

We will set that score straight with them in Paris in a years time. :smt002
