What about the Tiger Bar favourite: The Wonder of You?

Or a bit of Bon Jon: Living on a prayer?

Or we could nick the Millwall song "no one likes us we don't care".

appearing at a crumbie terrace near you.......

Who's that team they call the Tigers?
Who's that team they all adore?
We're making all this noise
For Richard Cockerill and our boys
'Cos the Tigers are the greatest team of all!

(repeat after long aaalllV

Viva Big Castro,
Viva Big Castro,
Flying down the wing
Hear the Tigers sing
Viva Big castro!

How good would the above sound? listen to this and tell me it doesnt make you lick your lips if we could generate something like that at our 'new' place?.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_11KVAeWAg

BTW i am no United fan in fact the opposite!!. Now i can hear all the protests about wendyball, diveball, thugs etc this is nothing to do with that just trying to get our crowd going and have at least one song that a) is more than one word and b)everyone can get stuck in to as it is so easy.

Not only are these no offensive but they are fun and even 'the 'Tartan' brigade can back the boys with a few claps etc. :smt038

Thoughts?

P.S we are always called 'the Man Utd of rugby' so why not live up to that by having the loudest and proudest songs in club rugby??!!

To the tune of Yellow Submarine

Number 1 is Julian White,
Number 2 is Julian White,
Number 3 is Julian White,
Number 4 is Julian White,

We all dream of a team of Julian Whites,
a team of Julian Whites,
a team of Julian Whites.....
We all dream of a team of Julian Whites,
a team of Julian Whites,
a team of Julian Whites..... etc etc.

I tried to get this going in the Walkers when he scored under the posts against Bristol, and got a dead arm from the missus for my trouble! :smt075

This forum is full of people that say they are going to do something but when push comes to shove nothing ever gets done. We all need to agree on one of the songs discussed and belt it out at every home game until it rings around the whole stadium. Its time for action!

But that will never happen, its too much trouble. :smt012

Lots of girls and lots of boys
Lots of smells and lots of noise
Playing rugby in the park
Kicking pushbikes after dark
Baggy trousers, dirty shirt
Pulling hair and eating dirt
Teacher comes to break it up
Back of the ead with a plastic cup.

Oh what fun we had
But, did it really turn out bad
All I learnt at school
Was how to bend not break the rules
Oh what fun we had
But at the time it seemed so bad
Trying different ways
To make a difference to the days.

Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers
Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers
Kicks and scrums and ruck and roll.....Is all my brain and body need!

I hope we dont start acting like them, they were the main culprits in the biggest incident of civil disorder in modern history after they lost in the play off match v Birmingham in 2002, when 45 police officers were injured and 2 police horses suffered life threatening injuries. Imagine if this was our response to losing against the insects :smt027 :smt027

Worrabout, in the style of Queen, we sing:

We are the champignons.

After all, us fans are fed and kept in the dark, so it's reasonably apt.

As an ex music teacher of 40 years experience IMHO the only way you will get the Tigers fans singing is if it is

1. orchestrated by the guy on the tannoy.
2. is simple and short if the words are to be altered.
3. is a very very well known song and use one verse or the chorus.
4. it is played over the tannoy after every Tigers score to begin with - the fans will then take it up if they want to, and when they want to.

My own personal opinion as to the song to use would be "simply the best"

Oh my God! It's only June and this boring, repetitive thread has reared its ugly head already! It's going to be a long, long summer

Just make a noise, any noise......
This year I'm on the Whisky diet. It really works - last week I lost three days!

Agreed there is nothing like an atmosphere at WR when everyone really gets behind the crowd, Harlequins match 2008 for an example to show what it can do! Just shout your heads off!
