Very likely to be true. Croft is the outstanding candidate - so half expecting Ryan Jones.

But I can't see it being confirmed until Quinlan has had a failed try at appealing against the ban.

Also they don't seem to be in much of a rush to name a replacement for Shanklin. So I wouldn't hold my breathy for confirmation in the next few days.

Should have been picked in the first place. Should have been starting the tests in the first place!

Perhaps Croft should replace Shanklin, then Jones can join in the fun

Fingers crossed for them both, they were both unlucky not to be in the initial squad after the season they have both had

Armitage isn't an international class centre, he shouldn't be going. e have enough fullbacks in Byrne, Kearney and Fitzegerald. Roberts, Halfpenney and Bowe can play can also play fullback

Crofty has two nuge games before his season ends. Might Geechan wait to ensure he is not injured or banned?

Whats your point, Roberts and Bowe can play in the centres.

Who else is there in the centres whose had a better season than armitage?

potentially hipkiss but other than that theres injuries.

Hooks been playing 13 recently, he may well go as fly half cover as well.

I agree with you there Ulster, I like Armitage a lot but I don't think calling up another full-back would solve the problem. On the other hand, which centre do you pick? Not too many in form. What is Gordon D'Arcy's fitness like? If he is fit then he's be worth a punt IMHO.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

Heard some gossip today. Friend of a friend works for Sky and saw the Lions list before it was announced. Croft was on it with a line through his name!! I was rejected literally 15mins before the official announcement. So glad he has made it now! Love him!!! :smt038
