Ayoola Erinle

Post by smalldell »

I thought he played very well yesterday. He came in again at the last minute and tackled his heart out.

On the way home on BBC Radio Leicester they were very critical of Erinle...What do others think?

Personally, I don't rate & don't really see why Biarritz have signed him. However, I agree that yesterday was one of his better games, although that's not too difficult to manage!

Not at all impressed by him in attack.

We badly need a proper IC for the next two weeks, keep your fingers crossed for Mauger returning.

from the TV coverage i would say he had a good game certainly defensively. I do wonder how late Maugers withdrawal really was as the match shirts had the right names and numbers on

Prefer to see him as a winger as he doesn't really pass that well and spends too time much running across field cutting down options for the players outside him. Tackles like a demon though!!

Agree with 1 over the 8 that he does tend to run a bit laterally on occasions, but when he runs straight he makes ground. May just be down to confidence and lack of game time.

I was very concerned when i heard his name called out yesterday, however as has been said, he tackled his heart out and did his job well!

The side ways running is a concern but i'd say well done Ayoola you had a good game.

Thought Erinle played well

Bit Lateral at times but a few times (certainly in the first half) his lateral running seemed to create space that then allowed him to straighten.

I don't think it was possible to look brilliant yesterday as the game seemed to be played almost at a pre-season game pace. Bath were that poor

I thought he played very well yesterday. I dont feel he has been given much chance over the 2 season he has been with us, with injuries and lots of other centres.
When we played Gloucester away last season his partnership with Mauger was very good and could have gone on, given the chance

HE did well, good tackling and hit some decent lines. THat said, his passing across the body is slow and he looks like a winger in the centres; constantly trying to go round people and running diagonally.

He's a winger who can play outside centre.
He's had limited opportunities to play at Tigers and simply looked rusty.

Dan Hipkiss is really an outside centre so for the next two games we need a fit Muager at I/C or a fit Hougaard at F/H with Vesty at I/C.

just feel he would offer more than taking contact more often than not, people saying ayoola is a wing playing at centre ditto smith avoiding contact, let hipkiss do that job .
