Retirement - Martin Corry

Post by Tigersfan90 »

It was a shame Corrys retirement at the end of the season wasn't announced at the match today. Good Luck to him and let's hope he stays with the Tigers in some sort of role.

Is it confirmed he is retiring? There are many rumours he might dog it out for another season

Ditto tigersfan. I am sure all at Leicester Tigers and the many supporters who support this incredible club wish Martin Corry all the best in whatever he decides to do. He has been a fantastic servant to the club and Tigers blood ran through his veins. God luck Martin Corry.

MartinCorry = Legend.
A great player for Tigers and England. I wish him all the best for the future. Just goes to show how much of a great side we have at the moment to keep a player like Corry out of the 22.

At the end of the game, Martin did a lap of honour, walking in front of the team and waving his way round the fans, so it was 'announced' in a way......anything earlier would have detracted from the task in hand.

Congrats and massive thanks go to Martin for his dedication & service to the game in general, not just Tigers and also for his proffesionalism throughout.

I have a sneaky feeling that he may well be employed within the coaching staff, to take some of the pressure off Cockers as forward coach. I've not always agreed with the nepotist like movement of players going to coaching team, but in this case I think it would be a real benefit & totally deserved.

The perfect gentleman during those hard times post 2003 with England. A legend of the game without doubt who will be missed on the pitch at Tigers!

An even bigger shame that he didn't do it after taking part in the game. A true Tigers warrior & it's sad it came to an end after suspension & injury - good luck to him & thanks for all he has done.

As I heard Martin on the Radio Interview as I drove home I was sad.

A super guy who has done and will do much to inspire future players.

Power to elbow Cozza!!!
