Where would you play Tait then?

Agree - tait would be a luxury with the current cover we have at centre. Ali Magraw would be useful though !!

Parisse is a nice footballer, but spends more time covering back than going forward, has to do that for Italy,I guess, but I don't see him as better than what we already have.
Tait..................nah
Hayman is about as old as Julien and not as good
To be honest I'm not keen on any of those proposed,McCaw wouldn't come till it's pension earning time,by then he'll be past his sell by date
I'm looking forward to seeing some of our own England beating juniors coming through from the accademy.

There are very few of these that I would welcome. This club is noted for a family ethos. You have to be able to fit into that. how many of the above would be able to do that?

For the umpteenth time, why would we want Tait? He is one of a list that keep reoccurring!

Now my constant gripe: Whats the use of an academy if the outstanding young guys are always overlooked as we sign mercenaries after a quick pay packet? The overseas players must be more than that. Role models, truely outstanding players. So far we seem to generally succeed in this. What is of course a problem is the lack of a meaningful 2nd team competition for these lads to progress into. Local boys may have a lesser reputation but you dont need to be continually splashing the cash for folks of sometimes dubious loyalty.

Before anyone says it - we dont have any probs with current overseas signings - they meet the criteria! :smt023
