This is a joke! If not , I'm glad you're not in charge! Do you have something against the Irish? Vickery and Payne- dear me, someone needs their head checking!

I have my fingers crossed that this was a team to spark debate rather than an actual test team!
Shanklin isnt even starting for cardiff at the mo so he is not looking a great possibility. Powell has had about three good games this season and has done nothing previous to suggest that he would be good enough for wales let alone the lions. Vickery?! Cooper is truly a terrible scrum half under pressure and not great without it so i wouldnt even have him on the tour. Hooky is not looking great either at the mo and im an ospreys supporter for my sins!
Not sure about a few positions - Hooker, South African hookers will be far superior. Open side, will Martin Williams still be up to the job? Fly half, One of cips, Hook, Jones, Wilko.
I should probably point out at this stage that my initial team was somewhat tongue in cheek, given that it comprised purely Insects and Welshies, much like the coaching team...
ide have s.lamont on the wing instead of sackey, and haskell isnt even a deffinate possibility for the engalnd starting line up, so possibly not the lions,
cipriani hasnt proved himself yet, so i wouldnt be looking at him for the lions untill he has,
Not enough grit in any of these teams. Lions are not just the form players at any one time, they are the 15 blokes who can run through walls of fire to get a victory. I'd be tempted to whack Simon Shaw in at lock alongside Paul O'Connell.
