Benetton Treviso v Leicester

Post by tigermad »

Leicester travel to Treviso for Round 2 of the Heineken Cup and should get the win after a superb performance against Ospreys last weekend. It should be a cracking game and again team selection key. What do you think?

I want to see Tom V involved and would expect Seru to be on the bench. :smt023

Have a look at the article linked in the 'Openside Crisis' thread.

Perpignan got no bonus try at home, so lets show some caution in the forecasting. Fraser Walters will put some steel in their defence, and always has a good game against us! If we could geta bonus point it could prove very useful as Ospreys got a losing one and they may well be vital at the end of the group stages?

15. Georden Murphy
14. Matt Smith
13. Seru Rabeni
12. Dan Hipkiss
11. Alesana Tuilagi
10. Derick Hougaard
9. Harry Ellis
1. Dan Cole
2. George Chuter
3. Julien White (English front row, YAY!)
4. Martin Corry
5. Ben Kay
6. Brett Deacon
7. Tom Croft
8. Jordan Crane

16. Ben Kayser
17. Boris Stankovich
18. Marco Wentzal
19. Seb Pearson
20. Julien Dupuy
21. Sam Vesty
22. Tom Varndell

Aaron Mauger left out cause i feel he could do with a rest, we will need him a fair bit in the Autumn internationals, and if Ayerza, Blaze and Flood are doubts, theres no reason to risk them. Tuilagi and Seru both need game time, as does Derick, Brett and Mr. Cole. Also, playing Seru with Matt gives us options to confuse Benetton as we could swap them about on the wings.

Tigers team

Post by sharxx »

Hi guys is there anybody who can tell me who are the final 22 travelling for Tigers to Treviso? Hope I could see Mauger playing, even if whoever will play it'll be a super team, one of the best squads ever seen in Italy! I'm a Carrera Petrarca Padova (historic Treviso rival) fan and I'll be supporting Leicester tomorrow.. I hope also that Castro will join the team even if injured it'll be nice to meet him again.
UP TO LEICESTER!!! :smt023

I think that's what you call a statement of intent.

I rather like it.

Treviso aren't a bad team, so it would be foolhardy to send a second string. They're not a bad team, but if we start like we did against the Ospreys and we get those passes to stick, we could and should get a 4 try bonus point.

Good to see that HM doesn't have problems fielding his big boys for these sorts of games.
