One infers, from the report, that waspies have squealed. Remember there was no video evidence (of contact) for Seru.

If there is video evidence against Best expect 18 - 24 week ban.

When (should I say if? - as he is not a Tigers player) Best gets a lengthy ban I think we should sent lots of invites to play in charity games.

Using the fourteen weeks ban awarded to Seru Rabeni for a similar offence as a yardstick, doubtless HH Judge Blacket, Probyn (who has be a member of the panel as the alleged offence was committed against a Wasps player) and a third lickspittle, will take due account of the circumstances. These will include:
1 Best doesn't play for Leicester - ban automatically reduced from 14 to 7 weeks;
2 Referee incompetence. Failure to award a penalty 5 minutes beforehand meant that, had he done so, play wouldn't have been in that part of the field and thus no alleged offence would have occurred - ban reduced from 7 to 4 weeks;
3 Citing official failing to observe Best saying to Haskell, "Begorragh, you've got a piece of mud in your eye, let me remove it for you! - ban reduced from 4 weeks to 2 weeks;
4 Panel saying, "I say, Saints only got promoted this season. We can't have them going down again or we might have those awful chappies from Rotherham, Exeter or Nottingham in the premiership". Ban reduced from 2 weeks to 1 week;
5 Panel decision - One week ban with a warning as to his future conduct ie don't play for Leicester and do it again or you'll get 6 months!!

Justice will be done!
