Geordan

Post by Rizzo »

Congratulations on your 50th GP try :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was this the first time Geordan was captain?
Don't waste your time away thinking about yesterday's blues

Yes, congratulations indeed. A typical Geordan try, great angle, picked the gap in the line perfectly and great pace to get past the defenders.

I thought Ben Kay was captain yesterday?

I thought he was very good today .Yes , he made one mistake when Morgan got to that high ball first but overall played with urgency and imagination .I think that his ability to think outside the box will work well for us under the new laws .
The Pack went well today and Croft had his best game yet - no flashy scores but excellent in the line out ,tackled soundly and supported well .
My only doubts today were our midfield - overall pretty unimpressive .Flood ( despite his missed place kicks)was a vast improvement on Goode - no missed touches and where he did need to keep the ball in play he found space not the opposition .Its probably fair to say that Glaws missed some pretty simple try chances but thats life !

Interestingly the BBC had not done their homework on our Murphys and incorrectly gave Geordan's try to Johnne on Breakfast this morning at about 6:30am. :smt018

Presumably the research was done by the same BBC Journalist who thinks Dean Richards coaches Glos! :smt017

I would like to second that vote of congrats by Rizzo
to Geordan.
To get his 50th try & make captain could not have happened to a better truly Tigers gent.

Well done Geordan long may you grace the shirt of the team that really knows how good you are.

Geordan rocks. Great try and hopefully more to come. Did you see him pick up a low difficult ball and then kick it. Poetry in motion
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Always the guv'nor - victim of his own success in the praise stakes: he hardly ever gets a mention because he's consistently good! - probably in everyone's top 3 tigers?
