Gloucester v Leicester - Bring It On

Post by tigermad »

Yet another season is less than a week away and what a cracking encounter to start the Guinness Premiership campaign at Kingsholm. Never an easy place to secure a win but Leicester did it twice last season. I predict a close win for Leicester. What do you think?

1:30 on Sky with the Saints game after. Must ensure the beer fridge is full!

Taking in to account injuries and suspensions I reckon our strongest side for Glaws would be:

1.Ayerza
2.Chutes/Kayser
3.White
4.Wentzel
5.Blaze
6.Croft
7.Herring
8.Crane

9.Ellis
10.Flood
11.Tuilagi
12.Mauger
13.Hipkiss
14.Varndell
15.G Murphy

16.Chutes/Kayser
17.Stankovich/Bonorino
18.Kay
19.Corry
20.Dupuy
21.Vesty
22.J Murphy

I didn't think Otaga was releasing Newby until after the ANZ Cup?

Ah OK thanks for that, I really didn't realise that, I must have missed that.

I'd put Herring in there ahead of Woods as he's got more pace in the open. With a backrow including Quera and Strokosch you need a lot of gas to match them. For my two cents Herring has the edge over Woods outside the set piece and ruck.

Now I've mentioned Quera is he available to play on Sunday? I remember something being written about an injury, or am I imagining that?

Shedhead 1 here:

Yep Qera is unfortunately out till near Xmas as is Delve and possibly Forrester and Olly Barkley. Very interesting game and I cant wait.

I wish you and your team well for the new season. Lets hope for a great game of rugby on Sunday...
Regards

Bob
