Season Ticket palaver

Post by daktari »

End of July - no season ticket has turned up. Phone ticket office receive non-too helpfull response of "Are you New?, erm...no and then 'wait till the end of August it might turn up."

Phone a week later hoping for someone more helpfull. Told that there is a missing tickets list and discover they have the wrong address (not sure how since they have manage to send me stuff over the last few years). Told to Phone at the end of August again.

Phone again on Thursday, told they will re-print the ticket for me and pop it in the post. Excellent.

Friday. Arrive home to find envelope from tigers containing ;

One header letter
One flyer for open day
one ticket exchange flyer
one members badge
one note telling me to remember to but the header inside the season ticket...

erm.....eh.....ah. if only they had sent me the the actual season ticket as well....

Good g*d man do you expect them to be perfect and get everything right?

Turn up tomorrow and present your credentials - they will be politeness personified!

KEEP THE FAITH!!

No, I don't expect them to be perfect but it is becoming a bit of quest. (the last two people I talked to were very helpful to be honest - apart from not sending the ticket).

Once, whilst working in Bedford, (when they were in the top flight) I popped into their ticket office to buy a ticket for the match against Tigers. The shop was double fronted and I went in through the nearest door.

Shop assistant "Can I help you"
Me "Ticket for the Tigers match, Please"
Shop Assistant, haughterly "you have you go next door for that"
Me, out of one door, in through the next, same women comes through a hole in the wall and asks " Can I help you?"
ME "erm......." :smt002

Have you ever wondered what it is about you that attracts this sort of luck? Is it your blue eyes? Your lovely smile?

I was expecting Cornwall or Westminster. Do not get too much of a fillip from Edingburgh!

Mind you, Cornwall quote would have been "I look like a quarry someone has dynamited."
