CJ your memory holds true!

Nigel Walker was indeed a winger who played a few times for wales, was around the hurdles scene at the same time as colin jackson so never made the heights there and, though he scored a try or two, didn't last that long in rugby either. very quick but suspect hands as i recall.

There's not much point in being a hurdler if you can't reach those heights is there?

By definition, being able to reach the height of a hurdle is a rather basic hurdle you need to overcome in that sport!

Your right CJ,I think he was part of the coaching team at the Scarlets until recently. His problem, like many fast wingers is, blinding pace in a straight run,but how often does that scenario occur? Get a guy with good pace and the ability to step or cut a different line and ou have a killer winger. If he can catch and and tackle your really on a winner!

Over 10m it has to be Andy Goode when the MC shouts "pies are ready".

Takudzwa Ngwenya is the name a few are searching for.

The USA winger who left Bryan Habana for dead in the World Cup is now playing for Biarritz (or rather signed for them as a cover winger for the Heineken Cup last year).

Here's the try on Youtube (not only is he fast he's got a step too! Something TV could work on).

On the Nigel Walker thread. He also won the telvision show Gladiators.
Any one got any thoughts on who in the current squad would make it as a Gladiator and what name would they have.
Castro gets my vote!
Love to see him swinging on the rings.
He would litterally bring the house down.

On the quick men my money is with Harry over a short distance 10-20meters.

I'd like to see Moody on Gladiators.

I think his name would be Satan.

The 2 Tigers I most remember for thier pace were Tony Underwood (pre injury) and Oz. Although I more remember Oz's pace when he was at Orrel...

Of others.. Shane Williams is a nippy little sod; Doug Howlett and Joe Rokocoko are no slouches either.

Re Moody I thought it had long been established that his nom de plume was 'Mad Dog'.
