Exactly the type of signing I was hoping for,
Although I admit that I had not heard of him until the rumours started.
He appears to have a proven track record at club level and will hopefully bring some fresh ideas to the club.
I am quite excited, and feeling positive about the new season.

Let us all forget the past and get behind the new guy.

welcome and good luck!

Onthaal aan de Tijgers van Leicester! :smt006

(To our non Dutch speaking supporters it means "Welcome to Leicester Tigers" - I think!) :smt003

A fair chance

Post by smalldell »

Lets make sure we all give him a fair chance...

Yes he has preseason and hopefully bring in some of his own staff...

Success may not mean trphies this year...there is a lot of work to do...

Good luck....

My I also add my welcome to Heyneke too.
A great signing and a positive way forward.
Great to see that the board appear to have granted his wish to let him appoint his preferred backroom staff.
Time now IMO to move on and for everyone to give the new regime total support.

I've read some interesting pieces on him from SA press to get more of an idea of what we can expect. A fully commited, driven coach who likes to blood young talent as he sees them as the future of the club.

Does this mean a new looking Tigers side? Blaze, Croft and Crane becoming first team regulars? I hope so, it might be the push we need.

(Afrikaans for "Welcome to Leicester Tigers and good luck" - hopefully!) :smt102

When does pre-season start? Will the new coach be there on the first day?

Defo time for the club to move foward. Still holding out for a certain Mr Cockerill to depart (time will tell).
Hopefully the young lads in the squad can start bedding in now and we give him the option to take on any body he feels will help the club progress!

Looks good on paper, fingers crossed he can adapt and settles in well. Remember we were promised great things fron ML, I only hope this guy can take the club forward. Best of luck!
