Ollie Smith to Montpellier - OFFICIAL

Post by adamv6 »

Think his reasons are well hid in his statement.

All hope is not lost though, he does state he would love to come back after spending some time elsewhere.

Ollie has needed to get away ever since the '03WC. He never really recovered from that experience, and his subsequent personal bereavement hindered his return to form.

A brilliant player on his day, let's hope fresh pastures revitalise him.

Good luck Ollie!

Definitely sad to see Ollie move on to pastures new.

He always gave everything for Tigers and always had Tigers in his heart.

Understandable that he should want to move on given the limited opportunities he has had this season and likely to have next season.

I know my best wishes go with him. :smt023 :smt006

I agree Fleabane.

He's going to a really buzzy city, and an exciting Club, by all accounts, and I hope he has a great time.

Let's hope it's just "au revoir".

All the very best :smt023

Great news - Montpellier is the nearest "14" side to where we plan to live. We hope to see Ollie play a few times next season.

A great shame, but fully understandable. Good luck to him and I hope it all works out for him and he's happy.
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.

Just hope he doesn't get involved in too many of the those 'French Punchups' widely published on YouTube!

A cracking player who has fallen off after the sad loss of his Father, but hopefully a new life away from Leicester for a little while will rejuvinate him.

Then he can start playing for England and return to Tigers in 2 seasons! :smt002

Ditto to all the above, I hate to see OS go, but if next season is a repeat of the one just past, we'll rarely see him on the field; he is simply far too good for that.

I hope the move helps him regain the form we know he is capable of, and he returns to us rejuvinated and ready to kick some derriere!

Good luck Ollie!!!
