The Mercury seems to have beaten the Tigers web site to it.

How about an announcement on new signings as well?

Along with all the other changes, I guess the Tigers will now be called the Cats.

Nice picture of the players in the new kit. However there are some noticeable absences! Not one to start rumours! :smt002

kpk2000 yes there are absences. To the point, there are only 13 players there! Unless the club are planning on becoming a League club with no replacements I feel your speculation is wide of the mark!

Taking into account that there's only 13 players in the picture, i'd say there are quite a few absentees..

Or could we be switching codes

Sorry - only joking. All the recent speculation makes me laugh.

Nice to see Lewis Moody - haven't seen him in a Tigers shirt for quite a while!

We played well at Gloucester with 13 players, as we won there maybe it's thought we can win the league with 13 players next year :smt001

New Kit

Post by Snowdrop »

I heard unofficially about this some months ago, so it is nice to hear it from the club. A good deal given our new stadium construction.

One point that springs to mind for me: Given that many of us paid out for a new shirt design less than 12 months ago and now that we have a new sponsor, what are the club likely to charge for the new season replica home tops? I would like to see a reduction, to say £35 for an adult top, given our outlay last year and as a consequence of the massive cash injection the club will receive.

Anyone else have any opinions?

A daft question but will the team have shirts showing "Caterpillar" or "Bradstone" on Saturday?

I expect it to be Bradstone on Saturday Iain. Afterall, Bradstone are our main sponsor this season & probably would have had a deal that runs to the end of the season, not a week before it ends!

Good news for the club. :smt023

The official announcement is a bit cagey over the amount the Club are getting out of the deal other than "multi-millions" over 5 years. As the deal is for sole kit naming, stadium advertising, player and hospitality packages and the new stand naming rights, one assumes that Messrs Tom and co. have secured a good deal.

Anyone know if Cat sponsor any other sporting teams in Europe or in the US?

Now, hopefully after Saturday, we will soon see pics of Mr Flood, and others in their shiny new shirts.

Also, any omens in this for Mike (Catt)coming as backs coach?? :smt002

They sponsor a car in the US Nascar NEXTEL Cup Series.

Other than that I'm not aware of any other major sponsorships that they do though.
