Agree, very good news to see Mauger and Herring back. Mauger and Hipkiss played very well together earlier in the season so lets hope they can carry it on... Corry, Herring and Crane back row looks good.

Team looks really strong, great to see Herring and Mauger back. Shame about Seru.
Lets hope Alex is fired up and explodes with a flurry of tries. I will be there to cheer them on.

Good luck lads (hope we dont need it)Lets bury those Ospreys

Fantastic news RE Herring and Mauger, thats a real boost. Also, plenty of power and pace on the replacements bench. I think we'll play to wear them down and then use the likes of Varndell and Croft to stretch them as the game goes on and defences become a bit looser. Im expecting a cracking game and really can't wait for it now! :smt023

I like the team, good to see Mauger back. Not sure Ollie is a winger. But is strong defensively and should handle Shane Williams. That said im sure TV will come on, and with Mauger pulling the strings this should be a major concern for the Ospreys. Also the selection smacks a little with Tuesday in mind, maybe, especially with Croft on the bench.

Quite surprised to see Ollie starting instead of T Varndell, but then again like shareholder said it’s probably better to start with Ollie who can keep a good defence too. Then bring on Varndell (for some Tries) when we’re hopefully keeping Ospreys at bay.

Sounds good to me! :smt001

My only issue is the lack of pace from 1-15 :smt017

Varndell is of of the few people that could catch Williams! - if Williams is up against Alex then he will dance around him - it hads been Alex that has had the suspect defence over recent weeks

On the big wide open spaces of Twickenham i would also have preferred Croft to Crane unless the wether forecast is really bad!?

Team for EDF Final

Post by voice of the crumbie »

Leaving Croft and TV on bench to use as impact means they and rest of bench can form nucleus of side for Tues v Bath.

That bench plus Ayerza who I imagine is being rested for Tues plus Wentzel who is looking at Tues for return, Humphries, Erinle, Mefin Davis, Alex Moreno, Brett Deacon plus some youngsters the Youngs boys, Cornwell, Pienaar, Gillanders also Frank Murphy gives us a better squad than perhaps anticipated for Tues.
Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!

i think tuilagi really needs to prove himslef tomorrow. Dont think hes looked too good in the last few games. Seems less of a threat than he used to be. Maybe defences are working out how to play him.
