I wouldn't want Dan Carter if he came on a £1 million a year deal - that would cause problems IMHO. However, if he came here on a more realistic contract I would be absolutely delighted.

Think we could do with bringing in a good young 7 too.

Hernandez is probably not a "much better player" than Carter on your playing skills as Carter is still, imo, on current form - the worlds best player with only Sergio Parisse pushing him whole heartedly for that title.

HOWEVER this is about for Tigers -Carter will return to New Zealand at some point, he'd be mad not to as a player as though they have a good set of young 10s - Carter is the best of the best. Hernandez however could well see his career end here and that for me is the deciding facotr over who i'd rather have at the club. Hernandez for me (but naturally i would not argue or cry "woe is me" should we infact secure the signature of the best player in the world).

We will not be able to afford Carter...shame, whatever a GP club offer a French team will offer a lot more, as for an incoming FH would prefer Evans over JMH, Evans by far a better goalkicker and all round player he looks a natural FH, JMH is still a bit of a manufactured one. As for the other rumours Danie Roussow yes please would fit in well with those players we have who have no regard for their own personal safety.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Carter has mentioned England and the GP specifically when talking about moving - you over estimate the French Clubs aswell as some of the premiership "Big guns" can hit around about as hard as the french, and the "small" teams are probably better off that Dax etc.

If we can't afford Carter then we can't afford Evans. Evans is certainly no 'cheap' option, even in relative terms.
