why did you have to write the anti welsh comments before mentioning shane's merits? very veyr strange. probably just playing up to an english audience but why?

even though i'm not a wales fan i have to say shane williams. there isn't another player that has stood out as much as him. (vincent clerc was close but he wasn't played vs italy due the coach)

Blimey, you really think that Sheridan is the player of the 6N?!
To each their own, but I'm almost lost for words.

Well, its not my part to be Parisse's P.A., but Sergio's performances against England and Italy stood out far more than Ickle's.

Shane may well be a candidate for the most exciting player (along with Clerc) of the 6N, but player of the 6N? I really don't agree with most posters on this one. IMO he's not even Wales' key player; that would be Ryan Jones.

Gotta agree with the previous post about how shane isn't even Wales' key player. He stands out because of his stature and abilities, but for player of the tournament it has to be Parisse or Ryan Jones. Those two have a much more influential role in their teams than Williams does.
Every game I've seen Parisse hes looked a class apart from every other player on the park, and that in a losing team. Ryan Jones has really grown into the role of captain as well.

Clerk and Williams are in the same mold.....finishers! Kids will emulate then, the press will heap praise on them and the girlie who does the feminine interest on the touchline for the ladies, forced to watch rugby by overbearing husbands, will mention how cute he is. Pass me the bin! I want to be sick.

He's ungly, bald and for work rate you can't beat him. Tom Shanklin. The unseen endeavor, the hard yards and the gritty defence. True team stuff.

Now I've praised him to the skies he'll maybe have a mare today. For the sake of my sanity in this house I can only hope so!

................but of all the enemy in red he's the one I wish we had!

Parisse, what a great player. Done so well for Italy and deserves this title if you ask me.
Just loving every minute :)

Parisse, but I'd change the list and choose Martyn Williams. He is an unbelievable player. Like, on McCaw's level.
