Its official - Johnny NOT cited!!

Post by quincy »

Well theres a thing. Johnny Wilkinson not being sited.
I am utterly disgusted. The RFU blazers have done it again. Theres one law for one and one law for another.
I bet Goodey must be gutted when an inocuous tug back on guess who can be more severe than a full blooded knockout blow to a players face.
Its just as bad as this governement of ours. Us, Joe Public can never win can we.
Its about time Tigers started making some waves and not just accepting all this.
I am just gobsmacked ...............

That is not authoritive g. It is conjecture. Read the whole article. Viting commissioner has until 1830 to decide. I am not saying it is not true merely that it is not authoritive!

The bans on Goode and Rabeni were very harsh, but I don't think Wilkinson's tackle had any malice in it to be fair to him.
Just loving every minute :)

Something I thought about this situation is whether they honestly felt that Jonny had not done anything dangerous or whether the name badge had helped him?

Danger of thread jumping. Wilkinsons tackle was straight arm and potentially dangerous. Goode's tackle was wrap around and maybe slipped high.

I saw a photo of Goodey's tackle and it did look like what you said, Bill. Maybe it slipped high. It certainly did look like it
